Way back in 1969, Gail Weingast attended Jackson College, Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, which means she apparently wasn’t always certain she would become a doctor, let alone the elite radiology professional she has become. The desire to go into medicine must have come soon after, however, because she eventually attended the Boston University School of Medicine and became Gail Weingast MD in 1976. That was more than 40 years ago, and she has accomplished a lot since.
For example, after an exceptional education and a lot of training, Dr. Gail Weingast worked at several hospitals in Colorado and New York, before finally settling into she settled into her current position as a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. Currently, she is the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging at the hospital. Through more than 20 years, Dr. Gail Weingast has been able to guide her department into its current position as one of then premiere medical facilities in the country.
